The main window
The main window of anYChe contains beside the usual menubar, toolbar and
statusbar a collection of lists with anniversaries. A typical window
looks like this:
This example shows, that the user has defined three lists of anniversaries
for colleagues, friends and family members. Every list can be configured
separately.
The individual setting of the following parameters makes it possible, that
i.e. birthdays of colleagues are only reported on the actual birthday,
whereas you will be informed of birthdays of your family 10 days before
they really happen (this gives you the chance, to purchase a nice present :-).
-
Active: This field must be activated to ensure that the list
will be considered during the check for occurring events.
-
Consider weekend: If you have marked this field, then anYChe will
check for a weekend and expand the checking period appropriate. This could
be helpful in your office, if you want to know on Friday, who has birthday on
the following Monday.
-
Cumulative Check: If you do not use your PC for a longer time (i.e. in the
case of holidays), but you want to be informed about all birthdays after your return,
you can turn on the cumulative checking. This way you will
be informed about all events between the last checking and today.
-
Days backward: With this value you can define the number of days in the
past (maximum 10 days), which should be checked for earlier events. This value
would be automatically extended by anYChe if you have marked the fields consider weekend or
cumulative Check.
-
Days forward: This value is the amount of days for checking into the future.
This period is extended automatically, if you have marked the option
consider weekend.
